A Heritage Cookbook Workshop
Good food has a way of bringing families together, and anytime families gather—even to eat—family history is made. Family recipes are certain foods that remind us of warm feelings and happy memories with the ones we love.
Family recipes tell a story. They’re often connected to people, places, and special memories. They have a who, a where, a when and a why.
A Heritage Cookbook Workshop, sponsored by the ST JOHN’S CATHEDRAL BOOKSTORE & GIFT SHOP, is designed to give you tools to gather these recipes and to provide you with ways to share your traditional recipes with family and friends. Suggestions for organizing and planning your cookbook will be discussed; online websites that create cookbooks will be shared; examples of recipes that other family recipe historians have written will be examined; and there will be an opportunity for you to join a community of writers who will be sharing their food traditions.
Every recipe has a story behind it waiting to be told. Attend A Heritage Cookbook Workshop, June 30, 12:00 PM. Reservations are made via email to [email protected]. Once reservations are made, Zoom instructions will be emailed to participants. Space is limited.
Purchase of Around Our Table, a Modern Heirloom Recipe Book and Preserve Your Family’s Most Cherished Meals, is recommended. This notebook and kit will be used in the workshop.
