Advent Quiet Garden Morning December 16
Advent Visitations led by Dr. Joy Carol. In the story of visitations, Mary traveled to her cousin Elizabeth. They both had listened to God and responded with courage and were blessed with God’s “favor.” Mary expected that something important would be at the trip’s end. Her travel to Elizabeth was a journey of the heart. Whenever we meet one another or enter a significant human encounter, we should do so with intention and care. The words we share have power—to comfort, to heal, to cause pain. There should be no room for carelessness in our interactions with others. Holy energy is carried within each of us. When we earnestly care for one another, our meetings are like Mary and Elizabeth’s visitation. We too need to listen to God and respond with courage, for God’s favor is offered to each of us.
Join us Saturday, December 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Ingram Lounge.
