Burritos, Scavenger Hunt and More
It’s the Cathedral Builders Hard Hat Breakfast and Tour!
Let’s have some fun learning about our Cathedral! Join us Sunday, June 30 at 9 a.m. for the Cathedral Builders Hard Hat Scavenger Hunt and Tour. We’ll start in Taliaferro Hall where you can build-your-own breakfast burrito, before testing your knowledge of the Cathedral by participating in our fun and informative Scavenger Hunt and Tour.
Several members of our “Builders Team” will be on hand to facilitate your tour and offer any hints you may need along the way. Plus, Cindy Cooper and some members of our Vestry will also be on hand to answer your questions about the Cathedral Builders Fund. You (and your family or team) will visit six locations. At each location, you’ll find a clue. Answer the question and collect a bookmark from the Cathedral Builder host and move on to the next station. At the end of the tour, you’ll have six clue bookmarks. Turn them in to the host in Taliaferro Hall. At 10:15 a.m., the Scavenger Hunt and Tour ends, and prize winners will be chosen. It will be a whirlwind tour, and along the way you might learn some interesting facts about the history of our beautiful Cathedral.
What is the Cathedral Builders Fund?
The Cathedral Builders Fund is made up of annual gifts of $1000 or more, which may be paid all at once or on a monthly basis. Your Cathedral Builder gift will help us address vital maintenance, repair and preservation needs that help offset the consolidates properties part of our budget, which for the past two years has been funded by a combination of the Preservation Fund’s annual allocation for the consolidated properties portion of the budget and the Saints Fund. This is critical as we have had to postpone or delay vital maintenance and repair projects over the years that are key to the long-term preservation of our magnificent campus. For more detailed information on all of St. John’s Cathedral Funds, please be sure to check out our website and our next edition of our Cathedral Quarterly.
