Help people impacted by earthquake in Haiti
All funds raised by the sale of Native Fresh greens on Sundays will now be donated to the Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD) Fund for Haiti. Here are other ways to help and more information about what ERD is doing in Haiti right now.
The scene in Haiti right now is devastating . . . After a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck last Saturday morning, at least 5,700 people have been injured, 30,000 people lost their houses, hospitals and churches have been reduced to rubble and at least 1,900 people are dead. That death toll continues to climb.
Episcopal Relief & Development is in touch with our partners in Haiti as they assess the damage and determine what is most needed, and will be providing that support. They have reported numerous casualties and extensive damage in and around Les Cayes, Petit Trou de Nippes and Maniche.
The needs in Haiti are already immense, and they will continue to grow. But every dollar, and every prayer, can make a difference to families that have lost everything.
