St. John’s Cathedral Civil Discourse Series: Hidden Common Ground
America is dangerously divided. USA TODAY and partners launch “Hidden Common Ground” to find solutions.
Cathedral members are invited to participate in a national initiative called Hidden Common Ground, a joint project of USA Today, Public Agenda, the Kettering Foundation and the National Issues Forums Institute. Through Public Agenda’s nationwide polling, USA Today’s detailed reporting and editorial coverage, NIF’s nonpartisan citizen issue guides, and the NIF network’s deliberative forums, the project will discover where we have common ground and where we’re divided and still have work to do. The four issues to be deliberated are Divisiveness in America, Health Care, Immigration and The Economy, each of which is integral to statewide and national election campaigns. Prior to each forum, participants will have access the Public Agenda public research and USA Today reporting and editorial coverage.
