Stations of the Cross
Fridays during Lent at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
The devotion known as the Way of the Cross began when early Christians traveled to Jerusalem to walked the Via Dolorosa or path of tears that Christ walked to Golgotha. Because not all Christians could afford to make such a pilgrimage, Franciscan monks created a series of stations, each representing a different moment in the walk of Jesus to allow faithful people all over the world to retrace his steps symbolically, offering their prayers and meditations to God.
