Telling Our Stories: My Story, Our Story, God’s Story
Saturday, January 6.
9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Rt. Rev. Porter Taylor and his son, Dr. Arthur Taylor will lead a workshop called "Telling Our Stories: My Story, Our Story, God’s Story." Participants will learn to articulate parts of their story and relate them to our story of faith. Because January 6 is the Feast of the Epiphany, we will focus on two themes: Epiphany — letting the divine light shine in and through us — and Metanoia or the great turning — allowing God to redirect or reconfigure our lives. At lunchtime, the bookstore will host a book signing and copies of Bishop Taylor's books — Dream as God Dreams: Sermons of Hope, Conversion and Community and From Anger to Zion: An Alphabet of Faith —will be available for purchase.
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
RSVP to Owene Courtney (904) 553-7338 as soon as possible, so we can get an accurate count for lunch.
