THE WAY OF LOVE: ST. JOHN’S JOURNEY TO FOLLOW JESUS
Sundays 9 - 10:15 am
TALIAFERRO HALL
September 8 through November 24
DESCRIPTION:
How have our DEEP ROOTS allowed us to BEAR FRUIT? Jesus calls us to journey toward a Beloved or True Community where all God’s people and creation are equally valued, protected, and nurtured as beloved children of God. Like much of human history, St. John's history is marked with peaks of selfless, compassionate love and valleys where we have been less than perfect. Together we will explore this history and see what we can learn. We invite you to embark on a journey toward True Community with an open heart and mind.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Each week, we will explore the theme presented in the lectionary reading for the day. We will listen to scripture and watch a short video. Dean Kate will share a reflection and converse with a lay leader about the topic. Then, we will share our own stories and reflections on questions that flow from all that we’ve seen and heard.
