The Mysteries of Death and Dying
A Bi-Monthly Conversation Series Offered by the Center for Wellbeing
Room 304
Led by retired hospice nurse Rose Osachy, The Mysteries of Death and Dying is a monthly offering from the Center for Wellbeing designed to provide compassionate, informative conversations about end-of-life care. With decades of experience supporting individuals and families through the dying process, Rose brings both clinical expertise and deep humanity to these discussions.
The purpose of this series is to offer practical knowledge, dispel common myths, and encourage open dialogue about a topic often avoided in our culture. By fostering a greater understanding of what to expect in the final stages of life, Rose hopes to empower participants to make informed, thoughtful decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
Topics will include recognizing when hospice care may be appropriate, the role of medications in comfort care, strategies for preparing emotionally and practically for death, and how to approach this natural phase of life with less fear and more peace. Each session will create space for shared stories, questions, and reflection in a safe, supportive environment.
