Piano Recital featuring Spencer McKee

Spencer McKee is a senior at Nassau County Florida Virtual School. He plays on the Fernandina Beach High School Pirates varsity baseball team. Since beginning formal piano study at age 4 with his mother, Mary Watanabe McKee, he has earned numerous awards, including the 60-point and 75-point gold cups, two of the highest awards from the National Federation of Music Clubs. Spencer won the Savannah Young Artists Piano Competition three years in a row, was awarded First Alternate at the state level in Georgia for Music Teachers National Association in 2019 for junior division (grades 6-9), and Second Alternate at the state level in the GMTA in both the solo and concerto competitions in 2021. He also was awarded First alternate at the state level in Florida for MTNA in 2021 for senior division (grades 10-12) and First Alternate in the District Florida State Music Teachers’ Association concerto competition 2022.

Spencer enjoys playing for churches, care facilities and social events. This concert is offered in support of world peace and to aid the work of Episcopal Relief and Development, specifically for the people of Ukraine.
