Reading Between the Lines...
A Lectionary-based Bible Study
Even before our time of virtual Formation and Spirituality, I have sensed a need for a lectionary-based study, and this week I found what I’ve been looking for. It is called Reading Between The Lines (formerly BibleWorkbench), and it is a lectionary-based, life-centered biblical resource designed for small group formation in church and home. One of the texts from the Revised Common Lectionary is chosen for the upcoming Sunday and developed into a weekly design, including scripture, life application questions, literature and art.
We will offer this class via Zoom on Fridays - 9 – 10:30a.m. The program is ongoing since it is based on the Sunday Lectionary, but you do not need to commit forever! Just say yes for one session at a time.
This class is being offered to parishioners at both St. John’s Cathedral, Jacksonville, FL and St. Mary of the Hills, Blowing Rock, NC. We will be trying our hand at blending parishes, and I think it will be fun.
If you are interested in learning more about it or in signing up for the first class, please contact me at [email protected]. I will send the Zoom information once registration has been received.
