Education for Ministry (EFM) is a 4-year theological education at-a-distance from the School of Theology of the University of the South. Commitments are made for one year at a time. Groups of 6-12 students meet with a mentor on a weekly basis with the goal of providing tools for an individual to better carry out their lay ministry. Complete studies of the Bible, church history, liturgy and theology along with reflections are included in the small groups. The Cathedral sponsors two EFM groups that meet on Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Contact Joe O’Shields here or Jay Wright here for more information and to join a group.
The EfM Reading and Reflection Guide (RRG) for the current year is provided to all in both e-book and printed formats. Participants are responsible for obtaining the textbooks for the year at their own cost. Here is the list of textbooks.
