Beginning Meditation
Have you ever considered learning to meditate but were unsure how to begin? This six-week class is designed for those who are new to meditation, as well as those who would welcome a refresher in a supportive, guided setting.
The class will meet weekly beginning Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., in Room 303, third floor, Center for Wellbeing at St. John’s Cathedral.
Over the course of six weeks, we will explore:
- How to get started with a meditation practice
- The physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of meditation
- Using a prayer word, phrase, or the breath as a focus
- Ways to develop and sustain a regular practice
All are welcome—whether you are completely new to meditation or returning with prior experience. This class offers a gentle, practical introduction to cultivating stillness, awareness, and prayerful presence.
