Epiphany Art in Taliaferro Gallery

This group exhibit features members of the arts exhibition committee reflecting in the Epiphany season about timing….while most of the world concentrates on chronological time the Christian church also thinks about Kairos time, a sense of God holding all time and interrupting it with illumination, showings, insights that compel action. 

We use “epiphany” to signal a moment of awareness that helps us see things in a new way. In the biblical narrative the magi had an epiphany prompted by a dream and so, after they saw the Christ child, they returned to their own country by another way. 

Some of the art shows moments of awareness; others invite the viewer to reflect on how the artist has interpreted this theme.
