Join us for an enjoyable program featuring the FCWS Chamber Winds!
The First Coast Wind Symphony chamber music concert on March 8 will include music by the group’s flute, clarinet, and trombone groups, and the brass quintet. The featured chamber work is Kurt Weill’s “Little Threepenny Music,” a suite for wind ensemble drawn from his 1928 play with music titled The Threepenny Opera, a German theater work with a libretto by Bertolt Brecht. Weill’s music, based on 1920’s jazz and dance music, includes the hit song “Mack The Knife.”
This is a ticketed event to support the annual FCWS High School Concerto Competition. Tickets are a $20 donation ($10 for students with ID) and are available at the door or online HERE.
