Artist Cynthia Bailey hand-carved these stations. During her lifetime, Bailey lent her massive religious figures to churches. In 1974, her son, Jerome McLean, gave the stations to St. John’s Cathedral as a memorial to his mother. That year, during Holy Week, his mother’s sculptures were displayed in Burwell Court for public visitation.

Stations of the Cross in Immigrants’ Stories
Walk with Jesus on the road to Calvary while reflecting on the experiences of immigrants today. Stories of hardship, hope, and resilience will be shared in English and Spanish, accompanied by music and moments of silent reflection. A prayerful way to enter into Christ’s suffering and love.
