Think Tank: Creation Care

On January 25, we will gather for Part 2 of our Creation Care Think Tank, beginning at 11:45 a.m. and lasting approximately 90 minutes.

This session will focus on the JEA coal plant and the broader questions it raises about climate responsibility, public accountability, and the future of energy in our community.

Building on the recent Sierra Club press conference, we will discuss what was learned and explore how citizens can thoughtfully and effectively engage with JEA’s decision-making processes—particularly around transparency, public input, and actions related to the eventual closure of the coal plant. The conversation will center on education, civic engagement, and practical ways to stay informed and involved as these decisions unfold.

All are welcome to attend, whether or not you participated in earlier sessions or attended the press conference.
