Blessing of the Animals and Pet Festival

Art in Taliaferro from September 14 through October 26 is an exhibition by well-known Jacksonville artist, Marsha Hatcher. Titled “The Body Blessed,” the works on display capture her experiences and the people she has met while traveling the world as a military wife.. Marsha is an artist who loves creating art, and her artwork defines who she is and what she is passionate about. The vast majority of her art is painting, and people of color are her subject matter. Acrylic, oils, and sometimes wood are her preferred media.
Marsha uses a variety of techniques when creating art. Her work is in many private collections, and she enjoys experimenting with colors and different media to keep her viewers excited.
Marsha has often participated in art contests, where she has placed in every category. She has recently been awarded her second Art Venture Grant from The Community Foundation.
Marsha received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Albany State University. She is a member of Hopewell, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and a founding and current board member of Jacksonville Cultural Development Corporation (formerly JCAAA) and The Art Center Cooperative, Inc.
