Family Promise: Changing Homelessness
April 19, 2024Freedom to Disagree
April 19, 2024Beginning Sunday, July 10, we will gather on Zoom to discuss Brian McLaren’s new book, Do I Stay Christian? A Guide for the Doubters, the Disappointed and the Disillusioned (published May 2022).
In Do I Stay Christian? McLaren combines his own experience with that of thousands of people who have confided in him over the years to help readers make a responsible, honest, ethical decision about their religious identity.
There is a way to say both yes and no to the question of staying Christian, McLaren says, by shifting the focus from whether we stay Christian to how we stay human. If Do I Stay Christian? is the question you’re asking—or if it’s a question that someone you love is asking—this is the book you’ve been waiting for. Plan to join us this summer. Please use the link below to order the book on Bookshop. Your purchase will help support the Cathedral Bookstore and Gift Shop.
If you’re interested in a bit more information on the Brian McLaren book Do I Stay Christian?, please consider looking at the link doistaychristian.com. Two things you can do there: A) sign up for the September study group hosted by Homebrewed Christianity and B) (once you’ve signed up) view three video discussions (Tripp Fuller & Brian McLaren) about the three parts of the book. Another good resource is the Nomad podcast in which Brian McLaren discusses the book at Brian McLaren – Do I Stay Christian? (N277) – (nomadpodcast.co.uk).
