Joy Leads the Way at Family Eucharist
March 18, 2026The middle of the week is a perfect time to consider augmenting our faith formation and engaging with others. Here are a couple of ways to consider doing that at the Cathedral in Lent & Eastertide.
Lent: “Praying with Jesus” at 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays in Taliaferro Hall
Taught by clergy, these gatherings continue to be times of learning and experiencing different types of prayer, blanketed by Christian fellowship in both the class and the shared meal that follows. We meet two more times in Lent, and each Wednesday is stand-alone so you are welcome to join when you can.
- March 18, Father Mark will teach us about and lead us in Lectio Divina, “divine reading.”
- March 25, Dean Kate will teach us about and lead us in Contemplative Prayer.
Our meals at 6:30pm are deliciously prepared by our Chef Abigail and we enjoy soup, salad and bread.
Eastertide: Bible Study: “Lessons from the life of David”
Wednesdays at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. April 15, 22, 29, May 6 in Taliaferro Hall.
The Rev. Mark Anderson and the Rev. Tom O’Dell offer a comprehensive look at David’s background, anointing, struggles, legacy and the lessons for life that we can learn. Choose the time on Wednesdays that works best for you and join us for “Lessons for Life!” Both classes will only last one hour, so you can easily head to work, join us for our Wednesday Healing Service in Cummings Chapel at 12:10pm.
If you have any questions regarding any of these offerings, please contact [email protected] (Linda) or [email protected] (Tom).
