Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the forty days of Lent, a season of reflection and repentance. Named for the custom of placing blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshipers, this solemn day reminds us of our mortality and calls us to a spirit of penitence. This is a beautiful, contemplative service with organ music and the Cathedral Choir, offering space for reflection and renewal.
