Our Ask This Year
This year we are not setting a dollar goal for our stewardship campaign. Instead, we are focusing on stewardship as a spiritual practice. We are inviting everyone to take one step: increase your pledge by 1% of your income over what you gave last year. If you gave 3% of your income in 2026, we ask you to give 4% in 2027. Our long-term hope is that each of us grows toward a tithe, giving away 10% of our income, one step at a time. Wherever you are on that journey, please pray about your next step.

Gene and Caroline Nichols
Gene and Caroline Nichols are leading this year's campaign, and we are grateful for their joyful leadership and their love for this Cathedral.
“We give because we want to see this church keep growing, and we want to be part of something that truly helps people,” Gene and Caroline say. “Stewardship is a decision to invest in the Cathedral's work, not just downtown, but throughout Jacksonville and around the globe. We said yes to leading this campaign because we see the impact St. John's has, and we want that impact to grow in the years ahead.”
What is tithing?

In 2027, your pledge will help us grow in three areas: extending the reach of our digital ministry to people worshiping and learning with us from far beyond our walls; caring for people in need through the meals, hospitality, and outreach; and caring for our historic buildings and grounds so they remain safe, beautiful, and open to everyone who depends on them.

How and When to Pledge
We will celebrate the culmination of our campaign on Sunday, October 25. You are invited to make your pledge at any time between now and then. You can pledge online below, return a pledge card at any Sunday service, or mail one to the Cathedral office.
