The Second Sunday in Lent, March 1, 2026

St. John's Cathedral

This panel discussion at the Interfaith Iftar is being proudly presented by Interfaith Jax in partnership with St. John’s Cathedral and Jacksonville Jewish Center.

Moderator: Megan Phelps-Roper
Panelists: Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner, The Very Rev. Kate Moorehead Carroll, Imam Bilal Hasan

Together, we come from different traditions, yet we share a common belief: that relationships across difference are essential to the health and future of our city.

For ten years, the Interfaith Iftar has created space for people of all faiths—and of no faith—to come together at sunset during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, to break bread, listen deeply, and affirm the dignity of every person. In a time marked by polarization and mistrust, this gathering continues to stand as a testament to what is possible when we have the courage to be curious.

Panel Discussion: Courage to be Curious

St. John's Cathedral

The 10th Annual Interfaith Iftar is centered on courageous conversations that deepen understanding across differences. It is presented by Interfaith Jax in partnership with St. John’s Cathedral and Jacksonville Jewish Center.

Host: The Very Rev. Kate Moorehead Carroll
Emcee: Dr. Parvez Ahmed
Mayoral Proclamation reader: Dr. Tracye Polson
Keynote speaker: Megan Phelps-Roper

We are honored to welcome Megan Phelps-Roper, author of Unfollow: A Memoir of Loving and Leaving the Westboro Baptist Church, as our keynote speaker. Her personal journey offers a powerful reflection on the transformative potential of humility, curiosity, and courageous conversation, values that lie at the heart of the Interfaith Iftar.
