The Season of Creation Film Series, presented by Green Spirits at St. John's Cathedral, brings five evenings of powerful documentary film, conversation, and community events to Jacksonville this September. From the halls of the White House to the Florida Everglades, these films and events call us to care for the living world entrusted to us.

An Evening with EMMY® Award-winning Filmmaker and Conservationist Tori Linder

Tori Linder will join us to host a screening of Path of the Panther (2022). The film follows the endangered Florida panther through the last wild corridors of South Florida. You'll get a rare glimpse of the life of Florida panthers. For anyone with a love of Florida's natural beauty and wildlife, it is not to be missed.
After the film, producer and conservationist Tori Linder joins us for an interview with Dean Kate and questions from the audience. Hear what it takes to follow a panther through the wilderness. Learn what's at stake, and what you can do.

The Green Spirits of St. John’s Cathedral open the Season of Creation with a film that is a call to action followed by a contemplative prayer service.

Public Trust explores the ongoing effort to protect America's 640 million acres of public lands.
Although released in 2020, the questions raised by this film are even more urgent today. The future of public lands remains one of the most important conservation conversations of our time.

Out There: A National Parks Story

Out There: A National Parks Story is an inspiring documentary that follows director and cinematographer Brendan Hall and a childhood friend on a 10,000-mile journey through 15 of America's national parks.

The season culminates
October 3: Becoming Whole
The Season of Creation doesn't end with our final film. On October 3, a 16-foot globe rises in our sanctuary as we gather to celebrate the Earth we've been called to protect — and to commit to becoming whole.

Then on Sunday, October 4 — St. Francis Day, join us at 4:00 PM for a Pet Blessing under the globe. Bring your beloved animals as we close the Season of Creation in the spirit of the patron saint of creation.

Parking is available in several nearby lots. Please note that the St. John’s Cathedral Lot is unpaved; all other parking areas are paved.

- Cathedral Hill Lot – Entrance on Newnan Street.
