Jane “JJ” Howell is an educator, community volunteer, and former small business owner with a passion for creativity and connection. She owned The Village Café from 2004 to 2008 before transitioning into education, where she taught at Fishweir Elementary and Riverside Presbyterian Day School from 2010 to 2024.

At St. John’s Cathedral, JJ is actively involved in the Art Exhibits Committee and Soul Gardening, contributing to the community’s creative and spiritual life. She also leads the Summer Language Institute at Kim’s Open Door, working with refugee children ages 5–18 to support learning, confidence, and belonging. Her role on the Vestry is liaison to the Pastoral Care Council.
