I am a physician with a 45-year career as an academic neurologist and neuromuscular specialist, along with more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles within major academic medical institutions in the United States. I have served as Dean of the Jacksonville campus of the UF College of Medicine and Vice President for Health Affairs for the UF Health Sciences Center in Jacksonville. Previously, I was Dean for Clinical Affairs and CEO of the Faculty Practice Associates at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where I led a clinical practice group of over 1,000 faculty physicians generating more than $600 million in annual revenue. I have also worked as a consultant for academic medical institutions in Boston and Philadelphia, helping with strategic planning, organizational restructuring, policy development, and financial improvements.
Since joining the Cathedral Parish in 2019, I have been actively involved in its community life. I have participated as an instrumentalist in the Cathedral music program, served as a lector, and am currently a member of the Taskforce for the development of the St. John’s Center for Wellbeing, where I am leading its Strategic Planning project. I have also had the privilege of serving on the boards and executive committees of several nonprofit organizations, including chairing the strategic planning committee of a prominent cultural institution in Jacksonville in 2010 and 2011.Chaired the strategic planning committee of one of the most prominent cultural institutions in Jacksonville in 2010 and 2011
