Kathy Stark: The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks
On view in Taliaferro Hall through November 28

Jacksonville native Kathy Stark paints the natural Florida she loves. She explores it by hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking, and walking with her dog. Her watercolors and oils capture what she finds along the way.

Her work brings Taliaferro Hall alive with the color of nature. The exhibition includes ___ posters and ___ art prints. Among them are ten of her vintage-style posters celebrating Jacksonville’s wilderness parks. Her newest posters support the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation.

Kathy is also the author of The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks, now in its second edition. The book is both a tribute to our region’s parks and a guide to them.

Through her art, Kathy invites us to slow down, look closely, and discover the wilderness in our own backyard. Please stop by and enjoy the exhibition. Everything on display is for sale. Kathy has provided a QR code near the door to make a purchase.
