Pentecost
May 20, 2026This summer, children are invited to discover how caring for creation can be an expression of faith through Creation Keepers Camp, a free day camp offered July 13–17 at St. John’s Cathedral.
Centered on the creative arts-based StoryMakers curriculum and the story of Noah, campers will explore God’s love for creation through singing, storytelling, drama, recycled art projects, and the creation of individual Ark Dioramas, which will later be displayed and blessed during worship.
The camp’s theme, Caring for Our Waterways, invites children to connect faith with the natural beauty of Northeast Florida—from the St. Johns River to our local beaches—while discovering how stewardship can become a lifelong expression of gratitude and care for God’s creation.
Two special field experiences will deepen that connection:
River Cruise Day (July 15)– Campers will travel on the St. Johns River and learn about the river’s ecology and stewardship. This river experience will also be opened to members of the congregation, with space for up to 50 participants. Guests will be invited to register for the outing, with registration fees helping offset camp costs and support this memorable educational experience for our children.
Creation Care Beach Day (July 16) – Children will participate in a brief beach cleanup before enjoying a day of exploration and fellowship by the ocean.
Creation Keepers Camp is more than a summer program—it is an invitation for children to grow in faith, creativity, and wonder while learning that caring for creation is one way we honor the Creator.
July 13–17 | Ages 4–12 | Free | Limited to 25 campers | Register here.
