Screening: Path of the Panther

An Evening with EMMY® Award-winning Filmmaker and Conservationist Tori Linder

Join St. John’s Cathedral for a special evening featuring EMMY® Award-winning filmmaker and conservationist Tori Linder, co-founder and managing director of the Path of the Panther project.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and opportunity to meet Tori. At 6:30 p.m., she will introduce the film and share the remarkable story behind one of Florida’s most influential conservation documentaries.

Executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and featured by National Geographic, Path of the Panther follows the elusive Florida panther through the disappearing wild landscapes of our state. Through the work of wildlife photographer Carlton Ward Jr., scientists, veterinarians, ranchers, conservationists, and Indigenous leaders, the film reveals both the extraordinary beauty of Florida’s wilderness and the urgent challenges of habitat loss and development.

Tori’s work extends far beyond filmmaking. In 2021, the Path of the Panther impact campaign helped secure the unanimous, bipartisan passage of the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act, landmark legislation that has inspired more than $3 billion in public investment to protect Florida’s natural landscapes. Her work has been recognized by National Geographic, The Washington Post, The Guardian, and The New Yorker, which called the Florida Wildlife Corridor “a national model for how to safeguard threatened species for generations.”

Following the screening, Dean Kate Moorehead Carroll will moderate a conversation with Tori about the making of the film, the future of conservation in Florida, and how storytelling can inspire lasting environmental change.
